Portfolio's "My Inspiration"

My Inspiration

“Pinang-ga gud ta mo!”, this is one of the sincerest lines I used to address my students. Service with love, what more will a stakeholder ask for?

When I was a student, I was educated that “Teaching is the Noblest of all Professions”. Now that I am already an elementary teacher, I believe that teaching is not just a profession but it is the Noblest Life Style! When I think of teaching as a profession, I can’t help to deduced it to something just a responsibility to be responded effectively. However, every time I see my students smile and say “Good morning sir!”, this deduction is transformed into a life-satisfaction vocation.

My students taught me very important lessons in my life. Because of them, I do not have office hours anymore. They can come to me anytime they need me. They became my life’s dictionary, because they add meaning and purpose to my life. I believe that time spent with them is time wisely invested.

In teaching, I learned that my duty is to my country in general, and to my students in particular. My students inspired me to be a good teacher and to be a better friend. Pangarap ko na rin ngayon na matupad ang mga pangarap nila!

True Love

Everybody seeks True Love, anyone longs for it! However, even the people who hunt for True Love are hunted by the reality that they find it difficult to give True Love! Are we worthy to received something that we could not give?

Many of us failed to show True Love because we do not understand what it is!
Most of us believe that Love is a feeling and emotion that is related to strong attachment and affection. Anyone who interprets it this way will find it complex to live a life full of love.

Feelings come and go. However, Love will never go because Love will stay forever (1 Cor. 13:13). It is biblical. It is true that you can feel love, but it doesn't mean that it is necessarily a feeling. You will know that you are holding a pen even though you will close your eyes, for the simple reason that you can feel it. You can feel the pen but the pen is not a feeling. Same principle apply to love. We can conclude that Love will remain (not like feelings that come and go) and that love is not a feeling.

If Love is not a feeling, then what is love? Most precise question is, what is True Love?
True Love lingers forever! It never ceases to exist. Love is when you continue to love someone even though you do not feel that you love that someone anymore. Even when you feel angry, True Love still remain. Why? Because Love is a commitment. Love is an everlasting promise, that whatever happen you will still continue to love. They say that True Love can only be secured in the bond of Holy Matrimony - Marriage. Love, "till Death do us part"

Everybody seeks True Love, we will only be worthy of it when we begin to realize that Love is not a mere emotion but a commitment, vow, pledge and an obligation.

Love is not just a game that children play.

Teaching: The Path through Learning

People live life in different ways. People learned in so many ways. They say that the better we learn the better our life it would be. But, how can we learn better?

I always believe that the teacher who keeps on learning well, keeps on teaching well. That might the ideal reason why teachers pursue their Graduate School Degree. This belief of mine is also true for the students educational legacy.

Most students are contented on acquiring new ideas from their subject matters. But is this enough? Maybe not. We were educated not just to gain knowledge but to become a cultured persons. Mere acquisition of information does not lead to true transformation. Living a Cultured Life is life where we put into action the things we have learned. "We show what we know when we Act on the Fact", the sayings goes. Functional Learning is essential to a learners life.

Does it end up there? I hope not! After transforming our lives, it is our responsibility to transform the world by helping others transform. We are not robots nor war machines, but we need to be the TRANSFORMERS! Contentment comes when we teach others about what we have learned and how they will learn. Satisfaction guaranteed when we know we helped changed the life of others.

We become a better learner if we learn how to become a teacher.
